I’ve spent my career working in and around scientific research, first hands-on in the lab, and now more on the management and policy side of things. Along the way, I’ve always been drawn to the people side of science: mentoring, coaching, and helping others to navigate their careers and reach their potential.
I’m also a qualified counsellor and previously volunteered with the Samaritans, experiences that deepened my interest in wellbeing and what helps people thrive. That’s what drew me to Phoenix: its practical, compassionate approach to supporting people with mental health challenges and learning disabilities to build confidence and find meaningful work.
Outside of work, I’m happiest watching sport (from the sofa or the stands), getting out for a walk, and spending time with family and friends – ideally somewhere with good coffee and a bit of sunshine!
