Dawn Murden

Phoenix’s mission deeply resonates with me. My mum experienced complex mental health challenges after I was born, and I’ve often wondered how different her life might have been if an organisation like Phoenix had existed then. I also have a young niece and nephew with a rare chromosome deletion, so I’m acutely aware of how vital it is that people with additional needs are supported – not sidelined – as they navigate life.

Professionally, I bring over 16 years’ experience across journalism, leadership, SaaS (software as a service), and customer success. I now run my own executive coaching and leadership development business, helping individuals and organisations grow with purpose and empathy. I also serve on two other charity boards.

At Phoenix, I hope to use my experience – particularly in storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and organisational development – to help amplify the charity’s amazing work, broaden its impact, and ensure it continues to provide life-changing support to those who need it most.
